Getting Started Part 1 – Download, License, & Pre-loading Assets

Getting Started

Watch our intro to RepairStack tutorial on how to get started with generating more leads!

Uploading your Plugin

When you sign up (remember, you get your first month free!) you’ll download the latest version of the RepairStack plug-in from your customer account on RepairStack.io.  Once you’ve downloaded the Zip File, head to your WordPress backend, go to Plugins, then select “Add New Plug-in”. From there, you can upload the plugin. Activate your plug-in, and you’re all set!  On the left, you should see all of the core Repair Stack plug-in navigation items loaded in.

Adding Your License

Once you’ve added your plug-in, you’ll need to license Repair Stack to start using it.  In your customer dashboard, you’ll see licenses.  Simply copy your license key, and head over to your default WordPress settings tab on the left, towards the bottom.  In that list, you’ll see “Repair Stack License” at the bottom.  Select this tab, and paste your license key in.

Once successfully activated, you should see a successful activation in your customer dashboard as well.  From there, you can always deactivate your license on the site, in case you rebuild your site or move to a new domain.

Pre-loading Assets (Repair Options, Device Types, Device Brands)

We highly recommend this step!!  In the backend, you’ll see a prompt at the top to pre-load in general items for Repair Stack.  This imports our default items for Brands, Repair Options, Types, and more – so we highly recommend this step to get started quickly, especially when it comes to the images assigned to these items.

After importing the default settings, Your base setup is complete!
